Richard L. Barnes, D.O., F.O.C.O.O.

Dr. Richard Barnes, D.O., began practicing with Ear, Nose, Throat & Plastic Surgery Inc. in 1997. He earned his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteoopathic Medicine in Chicago, IL and completed surgical training with residencies in Iowa, California, Colorado, Alaska and Missouri. Dr. Barnes is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology and Oro-Facial Plastic Surgery. He has completed an Otolaryngic Allergy Fellowship with the Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma.

While a medical student at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Barnes received the Outstanding Student Award from the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. He also was appointed Chief Resident while completing his residency at the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Barnes has spoken extensively on a variety of topics related to the surgical repair of trauma and defects in the area of the head and neck as well as the treatment of sinus disease.

Dr. Barnes participates in many running, cycling and triathlon events and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
